Vecna Robotics™ introduces NRV™ (pronounced "Nerve"), a state-of-the-art autonomous robot control system. Under the direction of Dr. Andreas Hofmann, a world leader in semi-autonomous control, Vecna Robotics has developed a robot control system capable of granting a robot with modest processing capability a level of autonomy that allows it to operate with only high-level supervisory input. NRV includes functionality that extends from high-level planning to joint-level, closed-loop control. Vecna Robotics continues to develop and extend NRV, and to develop collaborations that expand the state of the art in robot autonomy and control. Built in Java, NRV, which stands for "Neural Robotics by Vecna," is fully compliant with the NIST 4D/RCS reference architecture and is JAUS compatible.
