Vecna Robotics is pleased to announce that our very own Dan Patt has been selected as a 2019 “40 Under 40” honoree by the Boston Business Journal. The list represents leaders making an impact on Massachusetts’ industries. According to the Boston Business Journal, “The 21 men and 19 women being honored this year, representing the for-profit, nonprofit and government sectors, were selected by the Boston Business Journal editorial staff from nearly 420 nominations.”
As a leader in the robotics industry, Patt has been an integral part of the success of Vecna Robotics since he joined the company in January 2018. Under Patt’s leadership, Vecna Robotics spun off as an independent company, and secured venture capital to pivot the company to a product focus and continue to scale. Patt led the initiative to move Vecna Robotics’ headquarters to a 70,000 square foot space designed to showcase robotic solutions, grow the company and continue to hire more enthusiastic team members. Patt has helped Vecna Robotics bring high-tech, robotics solutions to three out of five of the largest logistics companies in the United States, including FedEx.
Patt helped spearheaded the recent partnership between Vecna Robotics and Citizen Schools. Citizen Schools is a nonprofit organization focused on expanding learning opportunities for children in low-income communities. Vecna Robotics team members have committed to several one-hour classroom visits this summer to public middle schools throughout Massachusetts where they will partner with a teacher to make learning “fun, real, and relevant for students.”
Patt will be recognized at a reception held by the Boston Business Journal on October 16, 2019.
